Michael, Blat is production quality code, has many more options than wwIPstuff, and has been tested and vetted by a far larger community of developers than wwIPstuff. wwIPstuff was designed to send the occasional email - not as the basis for a large volume email solution.
Given the choice I would choose Blat over wwIPstuff for your bulk mailings. Of course, if you can side step any responsibility<g> by placing your mail output in an Outlook folder and have your user manage the sending, then go this route! Or if your emails are all similar and can be generated using a simple mailmerge technique, use a 3rd party newsletter service, upload your mailmerge data to their service, and have their service generate and send your emails. This is what I would choose for a production system.
