The phrase "survival of the fittest" is not an accurate description
of Evolution by Natural Selection.

Probability plays a big part in this, as the rate of mutations,
their location, and their results is completely random. It is only
the extremely rare mutation out of the millions that occur that
produces a viable new gene, and even rarer that such a change helps
the organism to reproduce more efficiently than those without it.
