Texas has no prescription marijuana laws, so all use of marijuana in Texas is illegal. There have been some out of state folks, mostly coming in from California, that have been brought up on charges for using or distributing a control substance, (eg marijuana). Many of these folks have tried to use the prescription marijuana laws from their state, but Texas does not recognize them, so when in Texas, especially anywhere around Abilene, Texas, if you do the marijuana crime, be prepared to do the penitentiary time. I'm still clean and sober since June 10, 1983.
