I'm betting that there will be a whole host of sysadmin functions you just 
won't be 
able to do nearly as effectively without the GUI. Editing plain-text config 
files 
with vim on *nix is a far cry from trying to add or modify a registry key in 
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/

Also, I thought IE was an inextricable part of the operating system. :)
