Dear Postfix users, Leak founders here. Don't know if you heard about us, we provide a service of anonymous emails. You'll find our story on twitter @justleakit or on this post.
Laurent and I made the product over a week-end and to be fast, we first decided to rely on transactional platforms (Mandrill, SendGrid) for the emails sending. We didn’t expect such a worldwide public success and press coverage. Unfortunately while the buzz was growing towards Leak, we’ve not surprisingly been kicked out by Mandrill and SendGrid after several days (learn more about the reasons) We are now looking for setting up our own postfix emails server. The tricky part of the task, of course, is to maintain a good reputation of our future server (regarding the nature of our service: anonymous sender + recipients not opt-in + message content not yet controlled). I just want to make clear that we’re not spammers: our emails are sent to non opt-in people, but we deliver personal content written by users themselves (not bulk emails). One of our main concerns is also to make sure that our service will stick to our vision (« use anonymity for good, not for malice »): we’re not naïve, we know that some people will try to abuse our system so we want to build barriers about all kind of abuses (mainly by scanning content of messages and putting the bad ones in quarantine for review and moderation, any other ideas and tips are welcomed :) We are not emails « pros » and we don’t think that we’re going to be able to do this by ourselves. We’re definitely looking for a person that knows a lot about emails server, security, deliverability, IP reputation, spam filters, etc to help us to make the service back online asap!
