where do you see a benefit in serveral tables overlap?
are you aware that this leads to get unpredictable results?
which one wins in which cases and it that always the expected result?

you can use mysql tables for "transport_maps" and work behind
the scenes with a view pulling serveral tables in the right
order to control which are winning

we have implemented in our web-backends for dbmail/postfix
sender-dependent-realyhosts and rcpt-dependent-relayhosts
including auth credentials in case of remote destinations
from day one
