Which LIBC version are you using? This conversion from [::1] into
[127.0.0.1] may be the result of a library that is trying to be too
helpful (instead of returning the binary IP address for ::1, it
could be mapping ::1 to 'localhost' and then looking up the IP
address for that in /etc/hosts, which may be IPv4 only depending
on your OS).
