Well, how would Postfix know it is Godaddy's SMTP server? You have to
know either the name or the IP address, so apply the fix at the naming
or routing level.

Yes, it would have to be done based on the mx records' hostname...

Outside of postfix, how would you apply a fix at the naming level under Linux?
