Interesting. That is how Ubuntu installed it. Thanks.

One puzzle (to me). The status shows this:

● postfix.service - Postfix Mail Transport Agent
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/postfix.service; enabled; preset: enabled)      Active: active (exited) since Fri 2025-11-07 10:54:57 EST; 1min 42s ago
       Docs: man:postfix(1)
    Process: 3065 ExecStart=/bin/true (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
   Main PID: 3065 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
        CPU: 4ms

Nov 07 10:54:57 dap002 systemd[1]: Starting postfix.service - Postfix Mail Transport Agent... Nov 07 10:54:57 dap002 systemd[1]: Finished postfix.service - Postfix Mail Transport Agent.

The line "Active" shows "(exited)". Shouldn't that show "(running)"?

This line should be in main.cf instead of master.cf

I'm getting the following error in master.cf:

postconf: fatal: file /etc/postfix/master.cf: line 141: bad field count

Line 141 is:

smtpd_relay_restrictions = permit_mynetworks, reject

I don't see what the problem is. Can someone help?
