IIRC last time I tested only v1 was supported. I.e. yes, HaProxy v1, but this may have changed. As source I am passing external addresses (ipv4 in ipv6 style or true ipv6, always matching the target/server address family in same format) of one of my VPS, and nginx chooses a dynamic source port.
