Indeed. The (HA) proxy accepts a connection from an arbitrary client
IP address to a statically-configured IP address (the load balancer),
creates a connection to another statically-configured IP address
(a back end), and prepends endpoint info about that first connection
to the second connection.

Note that the client has no control over the destination of theat
second connection.

How is this used to connect to an arbitrary destination on the Internet?
