 I upgraded my FreeBSD server to v7.0-RELEASE -- everything seems to
 be running fine *except* for postfix. When I start postfix, I get:

 ares-root# postfix start
 postfix/postfix-script: warning: damaged message: corrupt/AE0AB49AF76
 postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system

See: # grep AE0AB49AF76 /var/log/maillog

For more information about the history of this message.

All it gives me is:

ares-root# grep AE0AB49AF76 /var/log/maillog
Aug 14 10:22:36 ares postfix/postfix-script: warning: damaged message: corrupt/AE0AB49AF76
(repeated several times)

Is there any means of fixing this? Can I simply deleted the message from the queue?

If your FreeBSD has installed an OLDER Postfix version than what you were
using before the upgrade,

Not possible. ;-)

you will have to upgrade to the newer Postfix.

Okay, I've upgraded to v2.4, which seems to be the most current version in FreeBSD ports (not v2.5 ... not sure why). Now I just need to figure out what to do with that damaged message.
