well cheers for that tip, it has helped some of hte games, i.e. prboom in gl mode now works properly, as well as zsnes with gl modes. unfortunately quake2 still suffers and it makes no difference at all for that game, at this point would it be game specific or still other sdl issues? thanks for the tip regardless! ryan
