Thank you, Peter. There seems to be a lot of confusion out there
regarding this issue. I honestly don't understand why anyone would
choose or need to run the plugin with the player set to variable output
level. However, if they want to, they now have a supported way to do it
that works in a way that makes sense. Just make a choice. Who do you
want to be in charge of client volume changes -- the Squeezebox player
or the AVR preamp? It can't be both. I don't see what the problem is but
I'm always willing to listen to logical arguments. So far, I haven't
heard any convincing ones.
