David, of you occasionally want to use other sources, I don't understand why you wouldn't want the Squeezebox output fixed at 100% so that only the AVR volume level changes. With SB audio output fixed at 100%, the Squeezebox volume becomes this fictional thing, and plugins like ours react to the Squeezebox fictional volume changing by changing the real AVR volume. Then there's no worry that you'll face some dramatic change in speaker volume when you change AVR inputs. You definitely don't want the Squeezebox output level changing if your amp ever uses other audio sources.
