I ran through the process of powering down both the router and the modem. I also disconnected all the connections on the router. Then I powered up the modem and waited until the Ready light was stable. Then I powered up the router and waited until it looked like it was booted up. Then I plugged in the Ethernet cable between the two. After waiting a little bit I plugged in the other Ethernet cables into the back of the router. It took only moments for my desktop machine to be connected. I'll file this one under the heading of I must have forgotten to feed the elves earlier, and the granola bar I left out made them happy and so they made the net work. Sigh. Thanks for all the hand holding. -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
