My observation... having seen multiple vendor in this area of
providers... BSNL is an elephant to move but once operational you
generally don't need to worry about things like *D-SLAM* is down
because power backup there is finished on Thursday, kind of stories...
Moreover you don't need to drill a hole in your wall or take cable in
through your windows etc... (assuming you already have telephone cable
brought in :-)

Also I have had enough bad experience with every player in this field
(including VSNL, meaning Tata) that I am slightly content with BSNL...

Two known providers that I know to operate in this area are Tata and BSNL. I went in for Tata first because they came highly recommended by another customer. Let's just say that I was yet to become a customer and I was already pissed with them. So I decided to met my wallet speak about what I thought of them and take my business elsewhere.

Considering my experience dealing with BSNL earlier today, at least they were honest about the whole deal. I think I'll wait for BSNL.
