I decided against creating new templates for these options.
As I see it, they wouldn't be used anyway and we already have too many
options. So I just set them to their default values in the postinst.

I leave this up to Scott. My opinion was to get rid of those and just
keep a verbose .conf file with a little explanation (english only
was the downside).

I think we need to keep the debconf approach.  Too many people are used to it.
I'm open to suggestions about what needs to be added to the templates.

I didn't suggest to abandon the debconf approach.
Let me rephrase my question: Do you think any of above options are important enough (i.e. likely enough to be changed by a user) to add debconf prompts for them?
