BTW, Google cloud already just instruct their users to ignore the xidStopLimit HINT about single user mode: https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/postgres/txid-wraparound I checked with archive.org. This directive to just ignore the HINT appeared for the first time no later than December 2021. Fixing this in Postgres is long overdue. -- Peter Geoghegan
