A few years ago the venue would be either a school in Bretton or a business
address, which, as a newcomer I never actually got to. On one occasion a
handful of us arrived to find the venue wasn't available so we went to the
nearest pub instead (you wondered where this was going, didn't you?). The thing
is, in my opinion, a pub didn't work as a venue. Too much background noise,
gloomy, no wifi. We had a drink. We chatted of this and that. We went home.

Then Tony Vroon very kindly started offering Linx as our meeting place and it's
absolutely ideal. Very fast connection, wired or wireless, warm and comfortable
- and there's a projector and screen if needed. Perfect and I don't think we
appreciate what a star we have in Tony.

As for content, I enjoy the talks when we have them, though they go over my
head being a beginner. I'd like some real basic stuff but that would be tedious
for most people - and it isn't needed because my questions are alway answered
with enthusiasm by friendly people.

So Shane, yes come along. If the meeting is on Tony will send an email with
directions. The Linx car park is gated and you have to press one of the buttons
on the keypad. The gates may or may not open automatically. Either way Tony
will then come and meet you. If. In doubt give me a ring on 07753 457257.

See you all Tuesday?

Brian
