<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [[Zebralist] MARC and utf-8 question]:
shows in log :
Dictionnaire fran\xc3\xa7ais-anglais des termes relatifs \xc3\xa0
l'\xc3\xa9lectronique, l'\xc3\xa9lectrotechnique,
\xc3\xa7 is a ç, it should be 00E7,
\xc3\xa0 is a à, it should be 00E0,
\xc3\xa9 is a é, it should be 00E9.
I think that´s actually fine.
\xc3\xa7 is the two byte (utf-8) encoding of the character at code point
E7.
Maybe useful: http://www.macchiato.com/unicode/convert.html
Strange... the gucharmap included in my mandrivalinux shows me you're
right. I understand I was confused between utf-8 and unicode.
If I follow my variables, I always have \xc3\xa9 and other byte
representations.
I send them to a HTML::Template, then ->output, and...
it's now iso8859-1 ! (If I switch manually the firefox page to iso8859-1
the çàé are now correct !)
I'll investigate and let you know, unless someone has something to
suggest...
