If your intent was touristing with a serious photographic bent to it, I'd suggest as Daniel did to stick with a minimal K-5 kit. But it sounds like your trip is more a wedding and social outing with family and friends, where a lighter, smaller camera that still makes good photos would be preferable.
I know nothing about the Pentax WG30. My choice would be to carry the Leica X typ 113, a couple of storage cards, and two spare batteries with charger. A reasonable size, light weight camera with an excellent, fast 35mm EFOV lens, and an excellent sensor. Throw a small Domke wrap around it to protect it when in my travel carryall. The Ricoh GRD would do well too, with a little wider lens (I don't own one of those, however).
