Which produces better photos and print quality, 35 mm film cameras or 35 mm DSLR cameras? An intriguing question Malcom Sir. I know some old farts say that the vinyl record produces better music than the CD.
I have observed the following: a) I could take street shots at night fairly well with 400 ASA color film with the ME Super hand held. With the K-5 IIs I find that on TAv mode the camera selects 1200 ASA or more. b) Film was more forgiving producing usable photos with under or over exposure. c) Shadow areas held more detail. d) There was that magic pop to color even though slightly muted on film cameras. f) Since I never made prints larger than 10 x 8 inches I can't say much on this. But remember blowing up projections from slide films on the wall with amazing clarity. I used a Leica SLR then. Alas I went with technology and find DSLRs are getting better and better. Let's hope Ricoh - Pentax gives us a great Full Frame DSLR. Regards.
