Each one will do things the other won't, but Lightroom is by far the better tool for photographers these days; Photoshop has become more of a graphic designer's tool. That's not to say you can't have a good workflow with Photoshop and Bridge, but if you find yourself regularly needing the features of Photoshop that Lightroom can't do there are probably shortcomings in your photographic technique that need addressing more than software. If you're going to have one tool for photography Lightroom is the best choice.
