Larry, you appear to have not mentioned the viewfinders. That of K-x (assuming K-r has a similar one) is good basically only for framing if one does not have a perfect eyesight. If one is working with manual focus lenses or very fast lenses (A 50/1.2 or A* 85/1.4 come to mind), K-7's viewfinder would be beneficial.
