Is anyone using SF with PS CS on Win XP? How's it working out for you?
I am. I've tried both the TWAIN and the Adobe plugin. Couldn't see any difference at all as far as I could tell. Both appear in the File/Import, and both take the same time to scan. But I only have the SE version that was bundled with the Epson 3200 (I've been upgrading the plugin regularly). Probably if you were using something other than PS, you'd consider the TWAIN. On the other hand, most major photo editing tools support the Adobe plugin API.
I've just stuck with the Adobe plugin out of habit.
Actually, I think I've been getting lazier, and just been using the Epson driver, to scan in at 48bit and doing the corrections in PS. The Epson can batch scan.
Since we are on the subject, can someone expllain to me what the Auto Tolerance slider does in the Negafix window? The instructions says if there is a colour cast, slide the slider more to the right. But what exactly is it doing?
