Subject: Silverfast: Which to Download, or What's Twain?

I was about to download a trial version of Silverfast and discovered that I
don't know which to DL. One version sets up a Photoshop plug-in, the other
is for "Twain." So, what's Twain? Why would I want a plug-in as opposed
to Twain, or vice-versa? I couldn't find an explanation on the site that
defined the differences or why one option should be chosen over another.
Is anyone using SF with PS CS on Win XP? How's it working out for you?

If you intend to use it in Photoshop, I think the plug in is the way to do it.
It will then be available in file/import in PS.
If you are going to use it as a stand alone utility, then I expect the Twain version is the way to go.
I could be wrong on this though.
I doubt if it will hurt anything if you download a version that doesn't get used. You can uninstall it later.
