Assuming pentax isnt lying about the focal lengths or
lies in the same direction for both, the 14mm lens
would be roughly 90 degrees on the APS sensor while a
15mm would only be 86 degrees, not a huge difference
but would seem to be a slight but observable difference if in
fact the focal lengths are correct.

Thanks for the info on the DA lenses. Would be neat to
try one on a film body to see how much "margin" they
have over the APS boundaries...

Well yes it does cost less and it's faster but I'm not yet sure if it's 
actually wider in practice, I've found FL designations to be wildly
misleading 
in the past.
