What about the 14mm DA 2.8 also being wider, faster, and costs a lot
less?

QUESTION: Do the APS Pentax "DA" series lenses and/or APS bodies (*istD)
have
any sort of interlocks on them to prevent mounting DA lenses
on any K series (FF) body? Do the DA series have aperture rings?
Do the DA series have aperture cams (assuming they have rings)???

Yes, my mistake. I guess that's why all the listers who have never
owned/used 
one are still discrediting its performance. From what I've seen of test
pics 
from the DA14/2.8 there isn't a great deal of advantage over the 15/3.5
apart 
from the reduced size and weight.
