The MZ-5n is supposed to be able to automatically choose between single AF and continuous AF (by detecting subject's motion), while the SF-1n has a manual switch for choosing between those options. Despite such auto-switching AF works rather well (the MZ-5 cannot detect lower speeds and its AF cannot follow higher speeds, so the auto-setting works well only for medium speeds, such as running people) I'd prefer the manual switch, also present in the MZ-S.
