the camera does the focusing for me and i don't have to think about it most of the time. if the camera does what i want 99.9% of the time faster than i can do it, it wastes my time to do it myself unless i decide that it isn't doing what i want. i know my exposure and focusing systems well enough that i trust what it does and know when it gets it wrong.
