that's a bit more useful, but even with a 6x zoom on the LCD display, it's hard to 
tell if the important parts of the image really are in focus or not. if you have 
adjustable focus points with visual feedback in the LCD, it's more possible to get the 
camera to focus on what you really want and less need for verification in the LCD. i 
find 5 points in a cross formation  barely adequate. the 11 points in the *ist are 
more useful, but even then, i would like more. focus lock and recompose is awkward 
when you are working on a tripod and want to spend more time composing.
