After re-reading, and rethinking, I now have to say that's a big fat lie <g>. 
Yes, the 200 becomes a 300... but the 400 becomes a 600 (hooray / d'oh!). 
The "hooray" is obvious (more length for free). The "D'oh!" is because this 
leaves a big ol' gap in between 300 and 600. I guess I kinda overlooked that 
until now. Oh well. I guess this digital factor thing isn't as clear-cut as I 
thought. Good thing I didn't sell my 300mm in haste.

Still haven't figured out what I'm gonna do about a 24mm equivalent. Rumor has 
it that the (God forbidden!) FAJ 18-XX zoom lens is actually pretty good 
optically (gasp). I guess I'll have to wait and see. Then again, there's always 
the option of smuggling one of Mark Roberts' wide lenses off of Grand Father 
Mountain... but that also lends the possibility of him throwing me OFF the 
mountain once he finds out.
