Customers who bought new lenses 20 years ago and have not needed to buy new equipment because the upgrade path in bodies has been smooth are suddenly no longer respected by the company they originally bought from. Pentax can't afford to piss of anyone, especially not customers who have a significant investment with them. Whether a person has bought new or used isn't germaine, they have still made a commitment to the company, and have made an investment in their equipment. William Robb
