andy, Sounds like you have thought it through with an ideal and almost perfect solution.
I hope you enjoy it. I quite liked my mac, but frankly, what I was doing on that machine, I could achieve on a windows based pc with less effort. I'm a little concerned regarding the lack of competition in the accessiblity department, but if it works for you, then there are no concerns. There are certain Microsoft philosophies that could push me back to the mac, but while these can be circumnavigated, in practice, I'll circumnavigate them.
