may be, since you so enjoy looking things up yourself, you could give us some more direct links for some of these accessible players that do play many different file types, or the add ons for them to do so please, as not all of us like spending hours looking stuff up.

I had been under the impression that Windows Media Player wouldn't support FLAC audio files but I've since discovered - thanks to Google once again <smile>. - that it can support FLAC and many other formats with the addition of "Extenders" or "Plugins", funny that, I've heard the mention of "Plugins" when it comes to Winamp too! Secondly, its not what I like or don't like that is essentual to this discussion, fact is that you can use Winamp whenever and wherever you like, it makes no difference to me or anyone else, only thing is that the product won't be updated after December 20 etc so I repeat again, much ado about nothing and look forward to Christmas as the world will not end of 20 December just because of the end of Winamp.
