One final note on the thread that I started last weekend. Apple has agreed to let me pay the difference and upgrade to the 32 gig iPod touch, while letting me return the 8 gig model. As mentioned here, the 32 and 64 gig iPod touches are Generation 3 and can therefore be used with Voiceover. The 8 gig is Generation 2 and cannot be used for Voiceover.
