Yes you can. I have recorded stuff from my mini disc recorder onto the hard drive. I simply plugged the cable from the headphone socket on the mini disc and the other end into the line socket on the PC. However, if you do this and your source has a headphone volume control, make sure it isn't turned up too high otherwise you will find the recording is distorted. Walter
