Hi Ryan, There is a problem in the 'old' web installer where it creates an incorrect user account on the database when using a remote database. I corrected this in the web installer that is in the Windows installer and in the upcoming OTRS 3.3. Best you can do is to manually create a correct account in the MySQL database by hand, and put its credentials in OTRS's Kernel/Config.pm.
