How would a user (who cares) know which package is Free and which isn't?
By doing some research on a package-by-package basis.
And most users who "don't care" probably don't even know there's
something to care for, so making the difference clear might bring them
to learn to appreciate the distinction.
Do not misunderstand me, i see the usefulness of having a spin
of openwrt with these features. But I think that it should be up
to the downstream to handle the process.

Of course openwrt is an opensource project then the maintainer
are free to move in whatever direction they feel interesting. I was
just giving my opinion on the matter.
