For awhile, some MySQL Enterprise customer was supplying source drops to the 
CentOS dev team. They were compiling it and making regular releases available 
via the CentOS Plus package repository. But then not long after that, several 
fork/patch builds like OurDelta showed up & started releasing binaries that 
provided a much better product anyway.

So perhaps Illumos/OpenIndiana will become the OurDelta or MariaDB equivalent 
of Oracle Solaris and outshine its predecessor. :)
