It really irks me that even after doing everything by the book, i.e. specifying 
my .conf file to be type "e", `pkgchk` still complains when they get changed. 
So I agree with you on questioning whether there's a point to it. `pkgchk` 
should not complain if type v and type e files get changed, because that's the 
point, the packager is telling the software subsystem that those files are 
expected to change.

This is one of those cases where technically, it should be correct, but 
practically, falls on the nose. Bah.
