Hi,
The NXP LPC2468 provide RTCK.
Also, the Amontec JTAGkey-2 provides RTCK support, but this must be
activated in your openocd configuration file .
Note: the Amontec JTAGkey does not provides RTCK support.
The advantage of the RTCK is that you can try to up the JTAGkey-2 TCK
frequency to his maximum 30MHz. The LPC2468 will regulate the TCK
frequency by RTCK.
With this mechanism, you are sure to go as fast as your JTAG chain
allows you.
For sure with using jtag_rtck you will get better performance.
Also, for windwos, you should use our new driver from
http://www.amontec.com/download/amontec-jtagkey-driver-d2xx-20091124.zip
This new driver is signed and microsoft WHQL certified. It is signed for
both 32 bit and 64bits OS from XP to windows 7 and server 2008 .
It works for all JTAGkey dongles, and it is based on FTDI d2xx driver.
Actually, the FTDI d2xx driver is still much faster than LIBFTDI +
LIBUSB ...
If you are Linux only try using FTDI d2xx driver ;-) !
But the actual linux d2xx driver do not provide the same performances as
the windows performance.
