Hi Laurent, I think it is not true for new libftdi version.
Also I think it is not a good idea using your modified binary. Then I few more comfortable using Xverse Signalizer on Linux, it works correctly with standard libftdi. Unfortunately it is not high speed USB. Don't get me wrong, I don't have any relation with Xverse and I think JTAGkey-2 is a great device, you only need add better support to libftdi since many openocd user are on Linux.
