But the OpenOcd application is almost always installed correctly and from a users point of view there are lots of things that can go wrong with OpenOCD even if they are not in the strictes sence OpenOcd problems: * Drivers for the JTAG interface must be correctly installed and correspond to the configuration of the OpenOCD installation. * Eclipse must be installed with correct scripts and addons to relibly make gdb talk to OpenOCD * The board/target configuratin scripts must be properly setup. * The application to run on the target and the build configurations must be sound For many users, failure at any of these steps will be interpreted as "OpenOCD is not correctly installed" because OpenOCD does not solve their problems.
