OOI, on other JTAG debuggers, reset does have a default, usually specified in some way from the config file. Also, I do like the existing behaviour, as on other JTAG debuggers that if a type of reset is specified then that becomes default for 'reset' from then on, so i.e. if you do a "reset init", then a subsequent unadorned "reset" repeats "reset init". I would like for that to be retained. Another little thing I'll throw out: flash programming should be straightforward, and usually involves running the init script to set up chip selects etc. So you would hope that by default (one way or another) people don't have to do extra things for flash programming.
