Ian, I'm not surprised you've struggled to sell this to potential clients. Have 
you ever asked the question: what's in it for them? If you're approaching them 
as an established team/pair with an amazing track record of delivering and 
excellent references, then you may be able to convince a client to take on a 
remote pair. But if not, then it's going to be quite a struggle to convince any 
client to take on the risk and added cost of a remote pair, especially one that 
isn't already tried and tested. I guess it's a bit chicken and egg... 

Have you read Brennan Dunn's book by the way? Definitely worth a look if you're 
interested in some ideas on how to better sell yourself to clients:
