@ekrich the ASF is about building communities and each community is quite autonomous in terms of what they build and what they release. One of the key reasons that we are debating switching is because there is a feeling that the existing config library is not very actively maintained and it would be nice if there was a replacement where there was enough of a community to ensure that the lib can continue to be maintained even if key contributors moved on.
