Hi Dwight,
I know I can define additional views - one additional view for each tab - I
just don't think it is particularly effective nor comfortable. Even without
tabs I think there is a fair number of views in MLO already so creating
additional view for each tab only clutters the "Views" panel. Also, instead
of simply saving a default for a tab, I have to set the default _and_
create view - which should be deleted should I stop using the tab. So, for
me this solution seems unnatural in comparison with simply including view
filters into defaults.

I am not a MLO expert however so I understand my proposition can break some
other use case I am not aware of.

Anyway, regardless of the solution I would propose making MLO behavior
consistent: if filters *are not* part of the defaults, I should be able to
modify filters for a "locked defaults" tab without spawning additional
"modified" tabs; if they *are* part of the default, I should be able to set
new default after modifying the filter (now I cannot).
