It's been about 3 years since I used OS X, but it seemed to me there were quite a few little annoyances and gotchas for people accustomed to BSD and Linux. In fact, I initially nicknamed it "BustedBSD", LOL, but fortunately the problems were all relatively simple to overcome. iTerm (to replace Terminal.app) was a *very* important upgrade, and there were quite a few things which were better from source than from Mac Ports. The situation may be different now, of course. My experience was with Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard, using a 2009 Mac Mini Core2duo and also a 2004 G4 eMac. I would hope it's better now. :) -- ❤ ♫ ❤ ♫ ❤ ♫ ❤ Indulekha
